"My Oklahoma Landscape" An Exhibition of the Art of Patti Morgan

  • Plains Indians & Pioneers Museum 2009 Williams Ave. Woodward, OK 73801 (map)

Patti Morgan is an Oklahoma-based painter whose work reflects a decades-long relationship with the landscapes of Oklahoma. Working primarily in oil on canvas, wood panels, and paper, she blends realism and expressionism to capture the region’s vast skies, quiet expanses, and subtle, enduring beauty. Morgan holds a BFA from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO), where she received both the Distinguished Graduate Award and the Outstanding Graduate Award.

Her paintings are explorations of color, movement, and calm—each piece an attempt to translate the emotional resonance of the prairie into visual form. We are excited to welcome Patti Morgan to the Roberson Gallery in July with an artist reception on Saturday July 11th, 2026 from 2-4PM.

Morgan has a 26 year public and charter school teaching. She is an Oklahoma Art Council roster artist teaching school break camps with various art organization. However Morgan took a hiatus of sixteen years later returned to painting practice in 2023 when attending the Oklahoma State University Art Teacher Residency with a second year of attendance, 2024, solidifying painting career focus.
