We welcome Cherrie Hampton to the Roberson Art Gallery in May with an artist reception on Saturday May 3rd, 2025 form 2-4pm. Her exhibit will run through the 31st of May, 2025.

Cherrie Hampton’s artistic journey has progressed from watercolor painting to art quilting and finally needle felting, developing color awareness and pigment layering techniques. She uses various mediums to create bright, detailed images with subtle texture and dimension. Inspired by the natural world, her work focuses on portraits of people, animals, and daily life scenes. Hampton’s work has been featured internationally and nationally in exhibitions such as “Water if Life” and the “National Weather Center Biennial,” earning awards like the “Future of Quilting Award” and the “NACQJ National Award of Merit”. She has been recognized in several publications including American Quilter Magazine.

Cherrie’s art is unique and this exhibit will feature several mediums of hers. Those mediums include Art Quilts, Felting and Watercolors. Don’t miss a chance to take a look at her amazing art work.
